This is really subjective and there will be people who will genuinely miss fields I'm not one of them. Quite honestly, I haven't played long enough to comment on that yet, but what Ubisoft has mostly removed were (for me at least) annoyances, like the way we used to have to build in tight little circles around town centres, and that resources needed fields to be placed, using up much-needed room and making it more difficult to come up with pleasing designs. There are also complaints about it being dumbed down. They also mentioned that maybe there might be multiplayer at a later date. Finally, no multiplayer well Ubi stated that the bulk of Anno 2070's player-base played single-player so it made more sense to concentrate on that demographic.
Anno 1503 steam series#
Combat has been complained about but it is no different to Anno 2070 - basic but it works okay (Anno is not a combat series so much as an economic/resource sim anyway). Lastly, there are complaints about it being too easy well, it IS if you play at the default difficulty designed for newcomers to the series (there are plenty of higher difficulty settings). They also state some really stupid things like some resource buildings being placeable only on slots (they were like that in Anno 14 too but I guess some players have exceedingly short memories). I've played all but Anno 1503 and I'm really enjoying it so far. Most of the negative Steam reviews are from people who have played just MINUTES (I really wish Valve wouldn't advertise or count reviews of such short duration).
